Novices & Experts Welcome!

Come on out and try racing with the Long Beach Ski Club.  It is challenging and lots of fun!  Last year we finished in second place and this year we're going for first. There are race categories for every level, from first time to expert.  The race season consists of three league races; two giant slalom (GS) races with widely-spaced gates, and one slalom races with tighter turns. Later in the season are the SoCal Championships where leagues from all over Southern California compete in slalom and giant slalom races. At the end of the season the umbrella organization, Far West Racing Association, holds the championships at a resort in the western United States.

Novices through experts are welcome. Every race has ten different skill level classes, from first time to expert, so you race against your peers. Except as noted, all races and clinics are held at the spectacular Mammoth Mountain.

2008 LA Council RACE CAMP

Join us at LA Council Ski, Board, and Race Week December, 15-19. Five hours per day of free-skiing or racing instruction and fun. Select your class from a free-skiing/racing percentage, 50%/50%, 25/75, or 100% either way. Snow boarding classes also. Social get-togethers each night. LA Council Website.
